Chip Shot Lessons - TourAngle144

Chip Shot Lessons

Taking chip shot lessons is not as uncommon as you may think among PGA Tour Players, despite the chip shot not being an exciting shot. Because the Chip shot is a shot taken so frequently, getting a lesson specific to this, is probably a good idea, and one that could give you the advantage that you need to get ahead in the game of golf. You have probably heard that it is always better to putt than to chip, when possible. This is an adage that is repeated by teachers, players, and occasional golfers. This however is not always true, and taking that attitude can get you into trouble. In order to understand when you should putt and when you should chip, you need to have a good foundation of knowledge that can only be gathered by taking chip shot lessons, and practicing what you learn. You must have a good understanding of all possible situations around the green, and in order to do this, you must talk to a pro, and get real experience. Once you get the basics from a teaching pro, you need to take you chip shot lessons home with you and start to learn the proper habits. This means that you must take this knowledge and get it ingrained into your head and body, so that it is second nature. Most teachers will teach the "no wrist chip shot" as the standard chip. This is a very good method, and one that TOP 100 instructor Steve Bosdosh agrees with. Steve believes in this method so much, that he helped develop a training aid called the Tour Angle 144 to help teach this powerful and consistent way of chipping, among other things. The Tour Angle 144 can be used during your chip shot lessons to build the muscle memory necessary to master this great chip shot move. When you break your wrists, the arm of the TA144 will give you direct feedback, and this means that you can quickly recognize and adjust your technique.
